Ordlinks: The Most Efficient and Historically Significant Bitcoin Ordinals Collection

A Defining Moment in Bitcoin Ordinals Ordlinks is more than just another Ordinals project—it is a milestone in on-chain efficiency, artistic integrity, and Bitcoin sustainability. As a fully on-chain 10,000-piece collection, it merges technical innovation with creative vision, setting a new standard for digital permanence on Bitcoin. Every claim in this post is backed by on-chain data, historical blockchain records, and verifiable facts.

1. The Most Technically Efficient 10K Collection Ever Inscribed

Ordlinks is the smallest fully on-chain 10K collection, with each image averaging 155 bytes. The entire collection is ~1.42MB, making it smaller than a single JPEG. On-chain records confirm each file size, visible on Ordinals explorers like Ordiscan, http://Ordinals.com, and Magic Eden. No recursion – Unlike many collections that rely on referencing external inscriptions, each Ordlink is fully inscribed on Bitcoin itself. This means no dependencies, no missing assets, and complete self-sufficiency forever. Unlike recursive collections, Ordlinks can be traded even in high-fee environments, preserving its accessibility over time. This efficiency proves that fully on-chain collections can exist without unnecessary bloat.

2. A Handcrafted Collection – No AI, No Outsourcing

Ordlinks is one of the few handcrafted Ordinals collections, entirely created by its founder without AI or outsourced labor. Each pixel was manually optimized to create unique, expressive forms while maintaining extreme efficiency. Unlike many high-market-cap collections that relied on Fiverr artists or AI generators, Ordlinks is fully original—not a derivative of CryptoPunks, Bored Apes, or Ethereum NFTs. This ensures that Ordlinks has a distinct identity, created for Bitcoin—not copied from Ethereum trends.

3. A Fully Decentralized, Bot-Resistant Minting Process

Ordlinks had a fully decentralized minting system, preventing bots and allowing true collector selection. Unlike randomized drops, users could select and mint any of the 10,000 Ordlinks manually. The minting process was recorded entirely on-chain, proving that each Ordlink was chosen, not randomly assigned. Whitelist access ensured fair distribution, reducing bot interference while keeping the mint decentralized. This method ensured that only dedicated collectors could mint, avoiding bot-farmed supply dumps.

4. Surviving the BRC-20 Mempool Wars

Ordlinks was inscribed during one of Bitcoin’s most congested periods, when the BRC-20 minting frenzy caused record-high transaction fees. Historical mempool records confirm that Ordlinks was minted at ~70 sat/vB, just before fees skyrocketed to 600 sat/vB. Only truly efficient collections like Ordlinks could withstand such extreme network congestion.

5. The Artistic Significance of Ordlinks What Does an Ordlink Represent?

Ordlinks is a minimalist pixel art collection, designed to maximize efficiency while maintaining recognizable, expressive forms. Each image is 45x45 pixels, with a 2-bit depth, ensuring maximum compression without losing visual identity. Ordlinks is a study in maximalist efficiency—expressing depth, motion, and meaning using the least amount of data possible. It reflects the same philosophy that makes Bitcoin itself valuable: scarcity, permanence, and decentralization. All artwork can be verified on Magic Eden, showing the diversity and careful design of each Ordlink. 8. Marketplace Recognition & Future Validation Ordinals marketplaces are beginning to acknowledge the significance of fully on-chain collections by rewarding projects with special badges and recognition. Ordlinks’ status as the smallest fully on-chain 10K collection is expected to be formally acknowledged. This isn’t just speculation—marketplaces like Magic Eden have already begun identifying and rewarding collections that are truly on-chain. As the industry matures, fully inscribed collections like Ordlinks will stand apart from those that rely on shortcuts. This means Ordlinks won’t just be known by its collectors—it will be recognized as a benchmark for efficiency and true on-chain permanence.

The Legacy of Ordlinks in Bitcoin’s History

Ordlinks is more than a PFP collection—it is a landmark achievement in digital art, blockchain efficiency, and Bitcoin’s cultural evolution. The most space-efficient fully on-chain 10K collection ever created. One of the few handcrafted, founder-led Ordinals. A future artifact in Bitcoin’s museums and digital art archives. A defining collection from the first era of Ordinals. Ordlinks isn’t just another Ordinals project—it is Bitcoin’s most important and most efficient art PFP collection, built to last.

1. Unique Method: Ying Yang Technology

Ordlinks is the first original 10K art collection to be inscribed using Ying Yang technology. This method links two separate inscriptions on the Bitcoin blockchain, where each Ordlink’s data is paired with another inscription, creating a complementary relationship between them.

Total Ordlinks:

10,000 Ordlinks were inscribed using this technology, each linked to a paired inscription.

Cursed vs. Blessed:

Out of these, 9,957 are cursed and 43 are blessed.

2. The Rarity of Cursed Inscriptions:

Having cursed inscriptions attached to your Ordlinks collection makes it even rarer and more valuable, as cursed inscriptions can no longer be created.

Cause of Cursed Inscriptions:

These inscriptions were the result of negative indexing numbers in the early stages of the inscription process.

Elimination of Cursed Inscriptions:

Once the negative indexing issue was addressed, the ability to create cursed inscriptions was removed by the founder of the Ordinals protocol, during the event known as Jubellie in January 2024, making the remaining cursed inscriptions highly valuable. Limited Supply: There are only around 70,000 Ying Yang cursed inscriptions across the entire Bitcoin blockchain, and Ordlinks stands out as the only original 10K art collection to feature them.

3. The Transition to Blessed Inscriptions The Fix:

In January 2024, the negative indexing issue was fixed, and subsequent inscriptions were labeled blessed. Blessed Inscriptions: These inscriptions are correctly linked and free of the errors caused by negative indexing, marking a key milestone in the refinement of the technology.

43 Blessed Inscriptions:

We are proud to have 43 of the first blessed inscriptions in the Ordlink collection.

4. Introduction of Color Traits New Feature:

Color traits have been introduced to the metadata of the collection, adding further distinction and uniqueness to each piece in the Ordlinks collection.

5. Singular: A New Collection Cursed Inscriptions Become Singular:

The cursed inscriptions are now part of a new collection called Singular, which is separate from Ordlinks.

Singular's Traits:

Each Singular piece has its own traits, and the artwork in this collection is currently unrevealed.

Extremely Rare:

You might be selling something extremely rare, as the artwork is yet to be revealed. These traits will play a key role in your passage into Granite, a very exclusive holders-only PFP art collection.

6. Granite: A Sneak Peek Granite Collection:

Granite will be preinscribed on rare sats, incorporating unique elements such as the method of art creation and the inscription process. It will feature a high-quality, hand-drawn art collection created with real ink and then scanned for the Bitcoin blockchain. This approach preserves the essence of traditional art while ensuring it stands out on the Bitcoin blockchain, just like Soley, our fine art collection.

Exclusivity:

Granite will be a highly exclusive project, and holders of Singular and Ordlinks will have priority.

Mystery Unfolding:

There’s still much mystery surrounding Granite, and we’re excited to share more details as we move forward.

7. The Pairing Mechanism: Singular and Ordlinks Inseparable Pairing:

When you sell an Ordlink, keep in mind that it is inherently tied to the other inscription in the pair. When one is sold, the other is also transferred along with it.

Singular Update:

This paired relationship between Ordlinks and the attached inscriptions is now officially named Singular in our latest update.

Maintaining the Connection:

When you sell or transfer an Ordlink, the paired inscription under the Singular name will move with it, maintaining the connection between the two. So think twice before selling, as even though the inscriptions might belong to separate collections, they are a pair with significant value and are inseparable.

What You Need to Know:

The updates to Ordlinks, the introduction of Singular, and the anticipation of Granite represent a major evolution in the collection’s technology and art. We are excited for the future of these collections and look forward to revealing more as the journey unfolds.

Rare Finds in the Collection:

There are 11 extremely rare Ordlinks inscribed on block 9, making them especially valuable due to their placement on the Ying Yang chain and the presence of a cursed inscription. Additionally, there is one palindrome Ordlink, adding another layer of rarity to the collection. Ordlinks #9999 and #10000 feature a conversion aura glitch in their art, making them extremely rare. I will post a detailed update about these rare Ordlinks and explain how the rare sats ones also share this unexpected aura, as it wasn’t intentional.
